Pumpkin Spiced Whoopie Pies

It’s the holidays. You’re in charge of a dessert. You’ve been there, done that with bringing a pumpkin pie, apple pie, brownies – you name it. Then you’re like, “Pumpkin Spiced Whoopie Pies could be fun!” At least this was our thought process. So “Whoop Here It Is” – How to make Pumpkin Spiced Whoopie Pies!

Whoopie Pie Ingredients 
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon nutmug
3 cups pumpkin puree
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups packed dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon-Sugar Cream Cheese Icing Ingredients 
3 cups powdered sugar
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmug


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice. Set aside. In mixer, combine pumpkin puree, oil, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Slowly add flour mixture into pumpkin mixture until combined.


Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Using a 1/8 cup ice cream scoop, drop batter on baking sheets, about 1 inch apart. Bake for about 15 minutes. Let cool.

For icing combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar and nutmug in a electric mixer. Mix until smooth. Spread icing on one whoopie pie and top with another.


Top with sprinkled powdered sugar. Serve!
