Candied Pecans

These Candied Pecans are our go-to holiday gift giving treat! We’ve been supplying them to teachers, co-workers, neighbors and hostesses for years! And what do they always say? “Thank you and can I have the recipe?” So here it is!

16 ounces pecans
1 tablespoon water
1 egg white
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees. In a large bowl, beat egg white and water together with an electric mixer until foamy. Toss pecans in egg white.


In another large bowl combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add sugar mixture to pecans and toss gently.


Place coated pecans in a single layer onto baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir again. Let cool.

Store in air-tight container.
